Spelling City can be used in
a second-grade classroom to assess spelling words weekly. This website gives
students the opportunity to put their words on-line in an electronic list which
allows students to practice the words throughout the week leading up to taking
a spelling test on Friday. This website is validated by CRAAP because of the
content included. Currency is when the website was created, it was created in
2008 and launched an app in 2012.
Relevance is directed toward the audience which is elementary school
students and their teachers. Authority is the creator who has the
qualifications and can be credited with the creation. Accuracy is the
reliability which is very reliable due to being able to access it at all hours
of the day and use it to study and assess’ students on spelling words. Purpose
is to allow teachers to incorporate technology into their classroom in a
different way. This also allows them to access their students in a convenient
way and teach technological literacy skills.
abcya is a website that can
be used in a second-grade classroom to play games that will help in all
different subjects within a typical classroom. This website could be used
another educational resource within the classroom to further a topic that was
taught on that specific day. This website is validated by CRAAP because of the
included content. Currency is when the website was created, it was created in
2004. It has since progressed with our ever-changing technological society.

be created with the creation of this website, they were teachers when this
website was created. Accuracy is the reliability which is very reliable due to
the website being updated frequently to include new standards for each grade
level included. Purpose is to allow teachers to incorporate an additional
resource into the classroom to help with their instruction. Also this can be
used at home to reiterate a topic taught that day at school.
