My twitter experience has been interesting so far. I am really enjoying having to post on twitter for this class and also using it to learn more about education and technology uses within the classroom. I find it most beneficial to follow people who are tweeting about education and technology to not only see what they are doing within their classroom and the how they are using it but to also learn about education and technology and what I can do to better my usage of technology so that my students can benefit more from the way that I am teaching. Twitter has a lot of benefits and I feel as though it is an easy way to create a personal network with individuals that you wish to follow so that you can stay in the know when they are tweeting important and relevant information about education and their uses of technology within in    Creating a class website was defiantly a challenge within itself, but it was a fun challenge because i was able to explore and find thin...

I created a Web quest for an interactive website on the water cycle to use in an upper level elementary school class room. With this I could help my students learn the water cycle in a different way then the  initial way that I taught it within the classroom. With this web quest, students could get "into" the water cycle and understand the process better so that when asked questions on an assesment they would be able to confidently answer the question. I know that i like to learn concepts in multiple ways and this would be another way that they could use to learn and study each part of the water cycle. I feel as though this technology could really aid my teaching and my students learning when the water cycle is covered within a science lesson.

This website includes information about Mrs. Carta's Kindergarten class. Within this website there is information regarding the schedule, the calendar, academic resources, news and events, and homework. This teacher does a really good job making all of this information available to students and their families at home which allows them to stay up to date even when they aren't in class. Also i noticed that this website does a really good job of highlighting the important information and also providing helpful links to academic resources so that students can be successful in class. Dallin Elementary School Arlington, MA http://mrscartaskindergarten.weebly.com/    In the future within my classroom, I plan on using technology in many ways because it is becoming a very vital part of our society. One specific way that I intend to use in my classroom is through the programs in Microsoft office. These programs will be used to further enhance the learning that is takin...

Web 2.0 tools are becoming very popular within todays classrooms. I feel as though most of the web 2.0 tools are very beneficial depending on how the teacher decides to incorporate them within the classroom. With this in mind I most frequently have seen wiki's, blogs, and witter used within the classroom. I feel as though blogs are one of the most affective and easiest things to incorporate into a classroom. I think it allows students to be hands on with material and write their thoughts our that are related to topics that are discussed within class. A perfect example of this is what we do for EME 2040, a blog post is due at the start of every class preparing us for the next class period by reviewing material and collecting our thoughts about these specific topics. I have not seen twitter used as much in a classroom just because there are a to more risks associated with using twitter due to the nature of twitter and the way that student tend to use it. With that in mind though I ...

Twitter is a social media outlet that I use everyday and I find that the educational resources that you can follow and retweet on twitter provide valuable information about our education system today that I was unaware of. With this, I hope that I can become more active on twitter and provide more of my thoughts on the education field and also learn more information from others in the class as well as those that I follow relating to technology in the classroom and education in general. I feel as though this assignment is useful in that we can communicate with others on a technology outlet which can show how fast valuable information can spread between individuals.    The digital divide defiantly affects students in the classroom in multiple ways. This divide can ultimately hinder a students learning and their future in their life. There are multiple ways that we can help this divide to not hinder students as much, but there will still be an affect because of the digit...
